Frequently asked Questions

About how we work and what you can expect from us.

  • Advertising is a broad term and encompasses more than just explicit claims. Even an informative message on, for example, a website or LinkedIn can be considered advertising if the message (directly or indirectly) is intended to promote products, services, or ideas. When advertising is involved, strict rules often apply.

  • Not without a doubt. In photos that identify individuals, or photos taken by others, permission is usually required in advance. Both from the individuals who appear in the photos and from the photographer. Without permission, you run the risk of claims being made for violating portrait rights, copyright, or privacy laws.

  • There are strict rules for this. Advertising for food products must not be aimed at children under 13 years old. For young people aged 13 to 16, only advertising may be made for foods that meet certain nutritional criteria or that are “sugar-free”, “fat-free” and “salt-free”. This means that, for example, no advertising may be made for sweets, soft drinks and other unhealthy products. If you have any questions about how to design advertising for a food product, please feel free to contact us. We are happy to help.

  • When you notice this, it is important to act quickly. Depending on the content and location of the message, you can ask the poster, website, or platform to remove or modify the message. In some cases, this is effective; in others, legal action is necessary. We can help you assess the message and advise you on the most effective approach.

  • It is not often that a broadcast is banned in advance, but it can be done. In most cases, a court order after the broadcast has a better chance of succeeding. It is necessary that the broadcast is unlawful against you, for example because it contains harmful inaccuracies about your business without justification or the principle of hearing both sides is not applied. It is necessary that you act quickly and hire an attorney as soon as you become aware of the announced broadcast.

  • A negative review is annoying, but not necessarily illegal or prohibited. If the review is inaccurate, misleading, or harmful, you can take legal action against it. We would be happy to look at the review and advise you on the options.
